W3C Standards, Validation & Accessibility

It is estimated around 80% of UK based websites have poor accessibility. With the Disability Rights Commission (DRC) cracking down heavily on such websites, you are better getting the issue seen to now, rather than later!

There is no point having a visually brilliant website if it doesn´t comply with W3C standards. Accessibility is just as important as the design. More and more companies are being taken to court because their website is not accessible to all users.

Every website created and/or maintained by Design Aces is fully validated against W3C XHTML 1.0 and CSS 2.0 standards and made sure they AA compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 1.0. We make sure the design is as user friendly as possible by only using tables for tabular data to accommodate screen reader, adding "title" and "alt" tags where applicable, making sure body copy text is readable and much much more.

Having said that, if your website has not been created by us, we can still offer you a service! We will amend any poorly accessible website so that it complies with today´s accessibility standards and so you don´t run the risk of legal action being taken against you and your company.
